On December 20th, in Cincinnati OH, There was an event to mark the 60th year anniversary from when Hank Williams recorded "Lovesick Blues" at Herzog Studios which has now just become an empty space, but CityBeat, the local weekly street paper is trying to raise awareness to get a marker placed outside of the building to commemorate the historic event. CityBeat produced a short piece to promote the event and show their support to the Reinstate Hank Campaign

People are stepping up all across the country and the world
collecting signatures for the Reinstate Hank campaign petition book.
We have collected signatures from all across the country and even
other countries including some we just received from Norway!  One of
our strongest supporters, Allison, just returned home from Lynchburg,
TN and the world famous BBQ competition where she collected right at
300 signatures!  Below are some pics of her hard work.

If you are out there pounding the pavement, collecting those
signatures and want to see them on the site, send in some pics of
people signing the pages, if they are somehow related to the Hank
WIlliams legacy, let us know, and we'll post some of your hard work.
You deserve it.  Thanks for everything that all of you all are doing.

The rally from this past weekend went great.  Hank III hung out at
the Bluegrass Inn spreading the word and getting signatures for
almost four hours, and we handed out almost 400 postcards to educate
people about the "Reinstate Hank Sr.: The Opry Has Sinned" campaign.

We have to give a lot of credit and thanks to Wayne Titsworth and Cathy
Pippin, Stephen Burnett and Robert Clark II, Debi Buttram and Angie, and
Jess Sandidge, Steve Greer, and Cody Meek for all their work.

We must also give a huge thanks to Layla at the Bluegrass Inn for letting us
set up there and spread the word regarding the importance of the "Reinstate
Hank Sr." campaign.  Lastly, we must thank the band on stage for wearing
Reinstate Hank  shirts.

We could not have have done as much as we did without all of  these people.
We have some special contests coming up to help spread the word in the next
week or two so be sure to check back in and continue to help spread the good word!

Many, many thanks to those of you who came to the rally at the Country Music Hall of Fame. The time and effort you put into spreading the Reinstate word was phenomenal, and very much appreciated. And it did not go unnoticed, as evident in this article from The Tennessean newspaper.

Further coverage of the rally has been posted by our friend and campaign supporter Chad on YouTube and if you missed Keith's interview on the Bootleg Asylum Radio Show it's not to late to catch the podcast replay by the great people over at Section_86.

Again, thanks to everyone who came out - we look forward to more positive rallies and meeting more of you who wish to contribute in getting the Opry to change their policy - and Reinstate Hank!

The first of many REINSTATE HANK rallies will take place Saturday, March 29th in Nashville, TN on the opening of "The Williams Family Legacy" exhibit at The Country Music Hall of Fame. The rally will take place roughly from NOON to 2P CST downtown around the HOF and up and down "Honky Tonk Row" prior to Hank Jr.'s Q&A and performance at 2P. Anyone, and everyone who wants to help out with the rally is more than welcome to come down and help out. If you are interested, please read the details below.

First, and foremost, this rally is a positive rally. Yes, we will have picket signs, and yes we will be creating awareness, but we WILL NOT be causing mischief, disrespecting anyone or anyone's property while doing so. What we do down here is a reflection on the movement as a whole, the film, the Williams family's character, and legacy. All tagging will ONLY be done with the permission of the property owner. Posters will only be put in places that permission is granted. And NOTHING will be done to cause any ill feelings toward anyone. The point of this is to draw awareness and get the petition signed to get Hank reinstated. It's not an excuse to raise hell for a weekend in Nashville. Keith's artwork and the gathering is amazing enough to draw attention without people being loud and obnoxious. Let it do the work. We will have some guidelines to go over when we meet before the rally.

With that being said, those of you who do come, there are several things to let you know:
* We will meet Saturday in the parking lot of The Hard Rock Cafe at 11A CST. At this point we will go over the guidelines and hand out different assignments to people. Assignments will include picket sign people, people who will hand out postcards, people with petition pages for signatures, and then people documenting the activities. We will do our best to make sure you get to do what you want to do. If you or anyone coming with you has a camera or camcorder, feel free to bring it.
* After we go over everything, we will make our way to the HOF, set up, hand out materials, and begin. The materials are for the rally. Use them. Sell your cause. Listen to people. Be courteous.
* After the rally, we'll all meet back together at the actual spot across from the HOF and care packages will be give to you for helping out.

If you have any questions feel free to ask anyone on the team. Be safe traveling and we look forward to seeing you all there to help spread the word.

Due to costs we can't ship materials all over the country given the size and scale of the items. We'll have a more definitive location posted before March 28th. Please check back and thank you for all of your support.
